Yup, it works May 12, 2009 bbqpotatochip (Los Angeles, CA) 14 out of 14 found this review helpful
Our apartment has thick wall to wall carpeting and it became infested with fleas last summer from our 2 cats... awful!! Fleas are the WORST! By that time the cats had both been given Frontline, which stops any new infestation, but the carpeting was thick and the fleas had colonized it. At first we wanted to go the all-natural route, trying sprinkling baking soda and salt into the carpeting, then a natural boric-acid based flea killer, combined with frequent vacuuming. None of these really did the trick-- after a few days, they were jumping on us and biting us again!! And, when fleas are bad, after a while, you don't CARE any more whether something is natural-- you'll do anything to get rid of the fleas, which seem to have the survival capabilities to outlast nuclear war. However, this stuff really works-- better than the flea bombs, actually, and less disruptive. Of course, we still put anything connected with food away before spraying this stuff on the carpeting, but after that, just had to go away for a couple of hours, then come back and open all the windows and let it ventilate with a box fan for another hour or so. And-- best thing-- the fleas were gone for GOOD!! (it does take about a week or so for the new flea "babies" that hatch to die off, so you may get a bite or two during that time. I would estimate they are about 85-90% gone after treatment, then gone altogether after 1-2 weeks. But they are definitely on their way out after treatment.) A good idea is to keep a spare can of this stuff in the closet for when summer and flea season come around next year.

"Knockout" Flea Killer is the "A-Tomic Bomb" for ridding your home & basement of Fleas!
My Vet reecommended it, after our home was infested with Fleas this year. Our poor cats are strictly "in-door only" cats, yet somehow the little devils got into our home and infested both our cats, and our wall to wall capreting, ( two story house with 4- bedrooms), Than to our horror the Fleas even invaded our large basement.
We treated the cats with "Fronline" & "Capstar" with great success, as well as everyday combing the cats out. Than our cat's Doctor told us about "Knockout". So, after shampooing our caprets we treated cubby holes, furniture, and closets with "Knockout", (as well, we washed all bedding & cat beds in the washer on a more than frequent basis), ............complete success! It wiped the little bloodsucking monsters out!
Finally, came our cellar, I sprayed the cellar from end to end with "Knockout". The following day, after I sprayed the cellar, I did what I call the "white sock test", Wearing only white crew socks on my feet, I walked around from end to end in the basement........"SUCCESS"!!! "NO FLEAS TO BE FOUND"!!
***NOTE*** Give the "Knockout" treatment at least two weeks, and than redo the "White Sock Test" in order to see if any baby Fleas, ( small black pepper size flecks), may have matured into full grown Fleas.
We give "Knockout" an A+++ as it works.

I need not say more...but I will. We were becoming infested so the vet suggested Advantage and this product. That did the trick. I did the house with the spray and used the Advantage on the dogs, waited two weeks and did the entire thing again....no more fleas. This was nice because I didn't have to leave the house for hours and yet it worked effectively.
It works!!! It works!!! September 19, 2009 Tina F. (Milford, CT) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
We had a plague of fleas this year, like nothing I've ever seen. Knockout did the trick. This stuff is awesome. It's Batman.
