capstar killed all the bugs on my cats within 20 minutes of ingestion. it was deadly magic. the cats freaked out for a few minutes as the bugs scrambled around their fur, but were none the worse for wear after. highly, highly recommended. use in conjunction with knockout ES and frontline for best results.

You know I had heard the hype over this item and was certain that it was either smake oil or it really worked. Well I just gave it to my dogs and it is seems that this is NOT snake oil. It really and truly works and for that I thank the bloggers and reviewers out there. I had been lucky enough to not have fleas until I went to dog sit over my mother's house. It seems her yard is a mecca for them and I soon had fleas on all of my dogs. She told me about it and said that should I need it, it was worth the money and time to buy it. Well as I said I gave it to my dogs tonight, and one dog is already feeling the effects of the pill. Amazing, I oddly enough sat there picking off the fleas as they ran out from the skin where they had been perched. No more fleas here!!
I plan to tell everyone dog owner I know about it and also of course post my review here.

Love it and will make sure to have it around the house the next time a flea infestation occurs....oh listen, seems another one had begun their journey of getting rid of the fleas they had.

Gave one dose to my cat and I have two observations:
1) The adult fleas are all dead!
2) It made my cat's heart rate skyrocket, had him panting heavily like a dog, and he was running and hopping around like he was insane. I was obviously very freaked out so I called my vet and did some googling. Apparently, the fleas can go berserk when this starts to enter their system and all bite at once. What I was told was he was having a reaction to being bitten everywhere and not a reaction to the Capstar. After ~30 minutes of this I started noticing dead fleas around him and he started to settle down and finally went into a deep sleep for a few hours.
Anyway, apparently what I experienced isn't all that common but I wanted to post my story in case someone else experiences this.
I probably won't try to use this again on this particular kitty as I'm sure it was a pretty stressful experience for him (and me!), but I would definitely recommend the product for animals that don't react this way.
